Ανακοινώνεται ότι από τις 31/10/2018 το Τμήμα Εμπορίας και Διαφήμισης έχει παύσει τη λειτουργία του και καταργείται, σύμφωνα με τις προβλέψεις του ΠΔ 82/31-05-2013 (ΦΕΚ 123/Α/3-6-2013).
Οι φοιτητές του Τμήματος Εμπορίας και Διαφήμισης μεταφέρονται στο Τμήμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων της Σχολής Διοίκησης και Οικονομίας του Αλεξάνδρειου ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλονίκης, στην Κατεύθυνση Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων/Μάρκετινγκ.

Description of the Department

The Department of Marketing belongs to the School of Economics and Management of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEITH). Since September 2013, the Department of Marketing has been merged with the Department of Tourism Management to form the new Department of Business administration with three divisions. The Department of Marketing has entered a transition phase until the year 2018.

The purpose of the Department is to promote the science of marketing, of its applications and the development of skills in sales and advertising, using the methods offered by new technologies and Informatics.

The Department of Marketing has been founded in 1984 and the first graduates got their degrees in April 1987. Currently, about 1,400 students are enrolled. The duration of the studies at the Department of Marketing is eight semesters. The curriculum is structured so as to cover the design, creation, implementation, pricing, distribution, promotion, advertising and marketing of ideas, products and services in order to meet the individual and group goals.



The Department of Business Administration has been established in September 2013 as a result of the merging of the Department of Marketing with the Department of Tourism Management. The new department of Business Administration includes the divisions: (a) Business Administration, (b) Marketing and (c) Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The divisions of (a) Business Administration and (b) Marketing operate in common by the teaching staff and within the classrooms and labs of the (old) Department of Marketing. The program of studies is common for the 1st year and splits into the two divisions from the 2nd year of studies and onward.
